Hi, I’m Krystal and I became a therapist because…
I believe that everyone has a story and deserves a safe place to share it.
I am passionate about my relational work with individuals who are motivated for positive change. I have developed a personal and profound appreciation for the unique qualities that each client I work with brings to their treatment and healing.
My Education and Training: I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Oregon in 2007, and received my Master of Arts degree in Professional Mental Health Counseling (PMHC) from Lewis and Clark College, Graduate School of Education and Counseling in 2018, which is a program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Counseling and Related Education Programs (CACREP), and am currently working towards obtaining licensure as a professional therapist. In addition to holding a degree in Counseling Psychology, I have also have advanced training and completed certificate work in the treatment of disordered eating and troubled food relationships through Lewis and Clark’s continuing education program.
Supervision: As a responsible registered intern in the State of Oregon and in the counseling community, I am currently under the supervision of Elizabeth Trautwein, LPC, LMHC (Oregon license No. C4558). If you have any questions about supervision, please ask me at any time or feel free to contact Elizabeth directly at (503) 890-2280.
Outside of the therapeutic space: Proud to be an Oregon native, I love spending time on the coast, and exploring other beauties in the Pacific Northwest as much as possible (photo above taken at Timothy Lake, Mt. Hood National Forest). I am a dedicated lover of cats and can often be found snuggled up with mine every chance I get. I find my own therapy in listening to many types of music and attending live concerts. I am passionate about experimenting in the kitchen with new recipes, decorating cakes for family events, exploring new restaurants, and especially enjoy spending time and having fun with those who mean the most to me in life.
